About Nancy

I am a freelance writer, editor, and mentor. My passion for writing has accompanied me through several career shifts weaving together teaching, therapy, and freelancing. Over the past 25 years, my writing projects have ranged from journalistic endeavors to memoirs, from scholarly and academic articles to poetry and exploring our stories to heal. Somatic Psychotherapy Today:

This international publication came to life when I noticed a gap between peer reviewed journals and mainstream publications. Somatic Psychotherapy Today fills an important niche.  As the founding editor, the current editor-in-chief, and publisher the past seven years, I offer a collection of articles designed to attract and educate practitioners in all health care fields as well as laypersons wanting to learn more about physical, emotional, and spiritual health and well being.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught the young and old since 1984. My students have ranged in age from preschool to 92. I received the Greater Piscataqua Foundation Award of Teaching Excellence for my innovative writing program entitled, The Magical Mailbox.

Educational settings:

  • Adjunct faculty at the University of New Hampshire (Freshman English)

“Write To Be”:

I founded “Write To Be” to offer writing workshops in personal exploration and professional publication. These writing workshops took place in three New Hampshire communities and resulted in several self-published anthologies: Our Tuesday Nights Out (published annually 2005 to 2010) and Prompted to Write (published 2009 and 2010).
